Welcome, Cool Tools Readers!
I’ve been a fan of Kevin Kelly’s Cool Tools website for years - it’s the best collection of useful and interesting tools, gizmos, and information sources on the web, bar none. (Case in point: I bought half of this year’s Christmas presents for my family and friends after referring to Cool Tools.)
I’m happy to announce that the Personal MBA has been featured on Cool Tools by Kevin Kelly himself, which I consider an honor on par with being featured in BusinessWeek.
From the site’s description:
Cool tools really work. A cool tool can be any book, gadget, software, video, map, hardware, material, or website that is tried and true. All reviews on this site are written by readers who have actually used the tool and others like it. Items can be either old or new as long as they are wonderful. We only post things we like and ignore the rest.
On a personal level, Kevin is a great example of the true value of self-education: instead of spending time earning degrees, he chose to spend his time doing real work, and has made a major impact on the world. He’s the founding executive editor of Wired Magazine; has written for the New York Times, Esquire, The Economist, and other major publications; has authored seven books (one of which was used as inspiration for The Matrix) and has extensively photographed Asia. He’s currently working to catalog every species on earth. (For more information, check his biography on Wikipedia.)
