Featured Group: PMBA Seattle
It warms my heart to hear from people who are getting together with friends to work through the Personal MBA reading list. Here’s some info about a group that Joe Goldberg has organized in Seattle:
“Our PMBA group formed in Seattle in May 2006, after a few of us tossed the idea around at a dinner party. Most of us are childhood friends or co-workers. Professionally, we have a plurality of members in software development, but we also have a chef and a green building consultant. We try to meet fortnightly, and read 100 pages between meetings. We either meet at a group member’s house, or go out to a local restaurant. Either way, meetings always involve good food and drinks. Between meetings, we keep in touch with a mailing list, a wiki, and by sharing links on del.icio.us.”

PMBA Motherlode Update: IE Link Issues
Several PMBA members have been having issues with browsing to Amazon to purchase the PMBA Motherlode. I’ve triangulated the issue to Internet Explorer, and I’m working with Amazon support to find a fix. In the meantime, the link is working in both Firefox and Safari. (If you’re not already using Firefox, I highly recommend it.)

Hey Josh, thanks for featuring our group! Just so you know, I wasn’t the one who started the group, it was mostly Mike. Credit where it’s due
