The Best Business Audiobooks from Audible.com
Personal MBA Audiobooks
Top MBA programs don't have a monopoly on advanced business knowledge: you can teach yourself everything you need to know to succeed in life and at work. The Personal MBA Recommended Reading List features only the very best business books available, based on thousands of hours of research. So skip b-school and the $100,000 loan: you can get a world-class business education simply by reading these books.
Now you can listen to PMBA recommended books in audio format!
Audiobooks are a great way to learn useful information during otherwise non-productive time, like driving to work or doing chores around the house. This page lists all of the PMBA recommended books currently available in audio format.
For purchasing audiobook versions of PMBA books, I highly recommend using Audible.com. I've been an Audible subscriber since 2005, and I absolutely love the service. While I don't travel by car very often (I live in New York City), I've found that listening to audiobooks is a great way to learn while doing housework or traveling by air. Using this "dead time" for productive purposes is a great way to get more done each day.
I'm happy to announce that Audible.com is now an official sponsor of the Personal MBA. Similar to the PMBA's relationship with Amazon.com, any books you purchase through Audible will support the Personal MBA. As part of the arrangement, I've been able to negotiate two special deals for PMBA readers:
- If you sign up with Audible, you can download 2 free books, or...
- You can subscribe to Audible for three months at the reduced rate of $7.49 per month.
Audible has two levels of subscription: Gold and Platinum. With Gold membership, you can download two audiobooks each month for a fixed monthly fee. Platinum membership is a bulk purchasing deal: you pay Audible a fixed flat fee in exchange for credits you can then use to download books whenever you like. Platinum membership is a great option if you go through books quickly, but for most people, Gold is better from a cash-flow perspective. Whichever plan you choose, an Audible membership is the best way to take advantage of your down-time in a productive way.
